NaPoWriMo Day 9: Pablo Neruda
Today’s prompt is to write an ode to an everyday object much like Pablo Neruda did.
Ode to a Reusable Water Bottle
I feel so smug when I bring one
to an airport to refill.
No $5 water for me.
Most bottled water
is tap water in a fancy dress.
I feel so virtuous
when the water fountain tells me
how many plastic bottles I've saved.
No filter.
I drink it straight from the tap.
